Dr. Alan Chang graduated from the University of Alberta Faculty of Dentistry in 1988 and brings over 35 years of clinical experience to Beacon Hill Dental. For Dr. Chang, dentistry has never been “just a job.” It is a lifelong profession grounded in responsibility, precision, and genuine care for the people he serves.

Known for his calm, patient, and thorough approach, Dr. Chang places strong emphasis on clear communication and patient comfort. He takes the time to explain treatment options, answer questions honestly, and ensure every patient feels informed, respected, and at ease throughout their care.

Dr. Chang provides comprehensive dental care, including preventive and restorative dentistry, cosmetic and orthodontic treatments, comfort-focused dentistry, and surgical and implant-related procedures. His focus is always on building long-term, stable oral health for his patients.

A committed lifelong learner, Dr. Chang continues to pursue advanced education in modern dental techniques, with ongoing training in implant dentistry, orthodontics, and evolving clinical technologies so his patients can benefit from high-quality, up-to-date care.

Giving back is also an important part of his professional life. He has participated in dental mission trips to underserved communities and recently spent time providing care in Bhutan.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Chang is a husband and father of two. When he’s not working, he enjoys running, hiking, and spending time with his family.

Dr. Carmen Wong is a compassionate and experienced general dentist dedicated to providing high-quality, patient-centered dental care for individuals and families. With more than 15 years of experience in family dentistry, she is known for her gentle approach, attention to detail, and commitment to helping patients feel comfortable and confident throughout their dental visits.

Dr. Wong earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Alberta after completing her Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences at the University of Calgary. She has extensive experience in restorative dentistry, root canal therapy, periodontal treatment, crowns and bridges, pediatric dentistry, and both simple and complex extractions. She is also continually advancing her skills through continuing education, including ongoing implant dentistry training with Clear Dental Education in Edmonton.

Fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin, Dr. Wong enjoys building trusting relationships with patients from diverse backgrounds and believes clear communication is an important part of excellent dental care. Her calm and caring chairside manner helps patients of all ages feel at ease while receiving treatment.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Wong remains passionate about lifelong learning and staying current with modern dental techniques to provide the best possible care for her patients.
