Focused on You
Our priority is to keep your smile comfortable and bright. While we focus on maintaining good dental hygiene through our Guided Biofilm Therapy cleanings and routine exams, we know that accidents, injuries, and other conditions can sometimes make the need for other treatments unavoidable.
Regardless of whether you need a filling, root canal therapy, or a bridge or crown to protect and preserve your natural teeth, we’re here to evaluate your situation with care and without judgment. We’ll provide a thorough examination, share our findings with you, and discuss our treatment recommendations.
It’s important to us that you have a full understanding of our recommendations so that you can make an informed decision about your care. We’re here for any questions you have.
Dental Crowns
A dental crown provides a protective cap for a tooth that cannot be saved with fillings or other types of restorations. You may need a crown to protect a cracked tooth, worn-down enamel, or a damaged filling. Crowns can also be used over dental implants to preserve the look and alignment of your smile.
You can rest assured that your new tooth will be natural-looking, virtually unnoticeable, and complement the rest of your smile.

Dental Bridges
A dental bridge can help replace one or more missing teeth. Replacing missing teeth is not only for aesthetic purposes. By replacing a missing tooth, we can prevent your teeth from shifting out of position, which can affect your jaw and the opening and closing of your mouth. Missing teeth can also impact eating, speaking, and facial shape.
A bridge is a fixed appliance that anchors onto 2 healthy teeth on either side of the missing tooth (teeth). It can also be attached to dental implants.

Root Canal Therapy
If a tooth becomes infected, a root canal is usually required. An infection can occur due to damage or deep tooth decay. The treatment involves removing any infected pulp inside your tooth, filling the tooth, and sealing it to prevent further issues. In some cases, we may use a crown to protect the tooth.
A root canal is done under local or general anesthesia and is not a significantly different experience from getting a filling.

Tooth Fillings
A tooth filling is required if you experience a cavity. Cavities are small holes that form on the surface of the tooth. These holes can lead to deeper tooth decay, tooth sensitivity, and even infections if left untreated. Getting a cavity filled helps prevent future discomfort and possible damage or decay to your natural teeth.
A tooth filling is made from a composite resin material that closely matches the colour of your natural teeth. They are long-lasting and amalgam-free.

Sport Guards and Night Guards
Sport guards and night guards are protective, removable devices worn for different purposes.
A sports guard covers the teeth and gums to prevent and reduce injury to the mouth during contact sports. Both adults and children who play contact sports, such as hockey or football, should use a sports guard.
We custom-fit sport guards that are comfortable, durable, and do not restrict your breathing or speech.
A night guard is used for individuals who experience bruxism, or clenching and grinding during sleep. Without a night guard, continuous grinding can cause significant enamel wear, making your teeth more vulnerable to decay.
Clenching and grinding can also cause abrasions and fractures, so night guards play an important role in protecting your teeth. Individuals who grind their teeth may also experience headaches, earaches, and facial pain in the temples and around the jaw. A night guard can help to relieve some of this tension.
